Watagan, Olney, Heaton, Awaba, Ourimbah and Wyong State Forests, collectively known as 'The Watagans' are part of a chain of State Forests which start from Ourimbah in the south and stretch north to Cessnock. These State Forests are considered nature's playground for the range of nature-based activities available in the area. These forests contain not only beautiful mountain scenery but have all the necessary facilities for day-trippers, bushwalkers, four wheel drivers and campers. There are also treetop adventures, paintball games and mountain biking in the area. To get to the Watagans travel from Wyong via Dooralong Road and pick up the Watagan Forest Road. From Cooranbong travel via Martinsville and pick up Martinsville Hill Road or Freemans Drive and then onto Mount Faulk Road.

Treetop Adventure Park is a recreation activity in the tree tops, where participants slide down flying foxes, move from tree to tree on suspension bridges and enjoy many other exciting activities up to 15 metres above the forest floor. There are 115 challenges including 20 flying foxes, the longest at 200 metres. This sensational experience is carried out at the participant's own pace with each course designed with different levels of difficulty (from children over three years old, through to easy, medium and 'adventure lover'). Established on the Central Coast in Ourimbah State Forest, Treetop Adventure Park aims for minimal environmental impact on the forest, especially as the trees are the real stars of the course. Roses 2 Go is a highly respected hydroponic rose growing facility in New South Wales growing all its roses using the latest environmentally friendly cultivation techniques. A guided tour of Roses 2 Go takes approximately one and a half hours but this is entirely dependant on the size of the group and the depth of the interest in the tour. Tours can be customised to fit your particular schedule. The tour begins with a brief history of Roses 2 Go. Then you are escorted through the two cultivation greenhouses where the hydroponic roses are grown. Visitors get to experience the climatic conditions that the roses are grown under. All the many rose varieties that are grown are displayed. The tour then takes a detailed view of the processing shed and the cold storage facility. Then, finally a browse through the beautiful farm retail outlet where the roses can be purchased.
