The Australian Soaring Centre is a class of its own. Come out and watch the gliders take off and fly around the country side or for those a little braver enquire about going up yourself. The skies around Corowa are perfect for gliding with many clear days throughout the year. Since 2001, they have been one of the ultimate soaring centres in Australia with a variety of gliders available for hire. A world class venue hugely popular with regular visitors from Europe and all around Australia. Why glide at Corowa? It is a safe airfield without high objects such as power lines and is excellent and well maintained with wide concrete and grass runways. No rice or big irrigation and located close to the mountains. Thermal conditions start an hour and a half earlier than at the other sites. Easy land-able paddocks from the airfield up to 1000 kilometres north.

The Corowa Jump Shak Skydive Victoria operates primarily at the Corowa Airport. They also have jumping weekends at Albury on other occasions. The Corowa Jump Shak offers first-jump courses and continuation training for all experience levels. They operate mainly on the weekends and bookings are essential. All instructors employed are licensed by the Australian Parachute Federation and many of these instructors have won Australian and World championship medals during their skydiving career. The facility at Corowa Airport is located only three minutes from the centre of town and has been chosen for numerous National Championships, and the 1999 World Championships for skydiving. Some people say jumping from a plane is insane, but Corowa Jump Shak believe that life requires you to challenge yourself, constantly.

Since September 2009, the company known as Corowa Whisky and Chocolate has been open for business and it is gratifying to see visitor numbers increasing. A confectionary sales area has been established in the main brick building where visitors can gaze at the 20 metre high roof surrounded by walls that are solid brick and half a metre thick. A cafe and coffee shop serving the finest beverages, Devonshire tea, and light meals is through the first door. The original engine room, that once housed a huge electric motor, is now a place where kids and adults alike can make chocolate freckles. You are invited to come and experience the old flour mill, taste and purchase the famous chocolate and licorice range. Corowa RSL Club is where it happens in this restful Murray River Town. Music, dining, dancing, sports, bar and lounge area, great TAB and Keno facilities and an outdoor lounge area. A classic Art Deco house is the perfect venue for Gallery 294 featuring a wide range of Arts and Crafts of a very high standard. The Gallery has a continually changing exhibitions and sale of the works of the talented artists and craftspeople of Corowa and the surrounding region. The artists of the co-operative include painters and artists working with a variety of different materials and mediums such as oils, acrylics, inks, charcoal and pencil; a printmaker using lino cuts and inks on paper and fabric. Textile artists use gutta resists and dyes on silk; a milliner creating exquisite hats and head pieces; fibre artists producing wearable art in wool, alpaca, mohair, silk and other fibres using techniques of felting, spinning, weaving, knitting and crochet. Gallery 294 has a wood turner who uses local timbers; a doll maker and textile sculptor; a mosaic artist and bead jeweller. Gallery 294 conducts workshops run by members of the co-operative or specialist craftspeople.

Corowa Shire is steeped in history, playing a significant role in the 1901 Federation of Australia. The self-guided walking tour around the historic buildings within Corowa tells the story of the Birthplace of Federation; including where the original conference was held to put into place the proposal that started the wheels in motion to declare Australia a Federation. A self-guided historical map is available from the Corowa Visitor Information Centre and gives you the history of the beautiful old buildings in the town and their significance to The Federation Story, with a detailed map pointing out the historic buildings and sites.

The Corowa Art Space Collection showcases the prize winners in all sections of the annual Corowa Federation Art Show that have been acquired by the Federation Art Show Committee and held in trust by Corowa Shire Council for the past fourteen years.
