The Golf Club at Cohuna is located in the Loddon Murray Region and is the home course of Australian professional golfer Stuart Appleby. The Cohuna Golf and Bowls Club has been magically carved out of the Gunbower forest along the banks of the Gunbower Creek, a major tributary of the Murray River in Northern Victoria. Well treed, the course comprises 18 manicured holes uniquely situated on Australia's largest inland island. Kangaroos and Murray River bird life share these renowned fairways amongst the tall red gum and box forest trees. A social golfers heaven, Cohuna has plenty to offer. Bankhead Terraces is situated adjacent to the Gunbower State Forest and National Parks, within the Murray wetlands of Northern Victoria. This internationally recognised wetland habitat is distinguished by swamps, billabongs, giant river red gums and box forests which are a sanctuary for colonies of kangaroos, possums, emus, goannas and snakes and more than 160 different bird species. Bankhead Terraces offer guests a choice of four apartments. Each apartment contains a fully equipped modern kitchen, laundry with tumble dryer, reverse cycle air conditioner, 26 inch flat screen television with built in DVD player and each unit has an individual courtyard with barbecue. Cohuna and the forest are networked by walking, riding and driving tracks, and have barbecue and picnic facilities.
