Barrington General Store is located just south of Devonport city and offers a historic experience. It is situated on a direct route to Lake Barrington and Devils Gate Dam and is open seven days a week. We offer information about the area to visitors and locals alike and can advise as to what's on and where best to go to see local tourist attractions. Barrington has two murals, one on the Public Hall next to The Store which tells of a historical story about Barrington and the other is attached to The Store which is a directional map of the region. The Store is situated next to a Council Park area with generous parking space available and picnic table facility which is a popular spot for tourists. Within the park area there are two monuments to men of the area lost in World War Two. Adjoining the park is Barrington cemetery with graves dating back to 1872. The Store has an extensive amount of historical information with a display of shop and post office memorabilia dating back to 1880 when the General Store was first opened. The Store also offers Australia Post facilities seven days a week.

The Steps Mountain Bike Park is a new purpose-built attraction for mountain bikers at Gloucester near Barrington Tops. This scenic location includes a cross country loop with multiple challenges and a skills area for practising body position, balance, gearing, braking, cornering, and riding obstacles. The mountain biking experience at The Steps offers fun and challenges for all skills levels, so parents can join their kids for a family day on the trails. The Cross Country Loop is 3.5 kilometres of single track suitable for riders of all skill levels. The loop rewards riders with flowing downhill sections, technical climbs and log bridges set amidst a scenic riverside location on the Barrington River. Additional features of the bike park include a Pump Track for a full-body biking work out plus The Playground, a dedicated mountain biking obstacle course with options available designed to suit the specific skill levels of riders.

Poley's Place is a working cattle property and primitive camping ground located on the banks of the beautiful Barrington River that offers country style accommodation near Gloucester. Open all year round, Poley's Place is pet friendly and hosts Country Music Hoedowns over Easter and October long weekends. Situated eight kilometres from Gloucester along the picturesque Thunderbolts Way, Poley's Place comprises over 500 acres of rich grazing land including five acres of rainforest only a five minute walk from the camping ground. For the fisherman the Barrington River is a great spot for fishing where there are perch, mullet, catfish and herring. Trout can be caught further up river towards the beautiful Barrington Tops. You can enjoy camping, fishing, swimming in the river, canoeing, nature walks, bird watching, barbecues, tube riding over the rapids.
