Courabyra Wines is a family owned vineyard nestled in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, producing the finest cool climate wines.

The award winning wines are the result of using select parcels of the finest quality, hand picked grapes. A selection of wines, food and drinks are available for purchase at the Cellar Door Cafe. Catering for small groups is available and welcomed.

Cathy and Brian Gairn arrived here from Melbourne in 1985, planted the first vines in 1995, and have never looked back. Cathy is the vigneron, whilst Brian is the go to man, often telling stories of a time gone by. Together they have created a relaxing and inviting destination.

Whether you're passing through from Sydney or Melbourne, Tumbarumba is a magical place that will stay with you long after you've gone. Accommodation is available in the township.

The cool climate of the Snowies produces the most intensely flavoured and high quality blueberries. At this family owned farm, you can either pick your own or buy them in already packed punnets - in season between December and March. Otherwise, there are twenty blueberry products available including sauces, jams, toppings, wine, port, and sparkling wine. All can be purchased at the packing shed.

The Pioneer Women's Hut at Glenroy Heritage Reserve is one of the best and most unusual small museums in Australia. Cleverly themed, it reflects the ingenuity of women in finding solutions to the challenges of looking after a family in early rural Australia. The accessibility and provenance of the diverse collection adds to its reputation. The Heritage Quilt Room exhibition is now open and displays "The Gift of Thrift" exhibition. Entry to this exhibition is AUD5 per person. Glenroy Cottage Crafts is a little shop nearby offering a wide range of useful and attractive goods. Other heritage displays include a machinery shed full of farm implements used by the hard working pioneers of the Tumbarumba district.

Tumbarumba Artists On Parade Co-operative Ltd is a not for profit, community based gallery and artist workspace, run by local artists and volunteers. They have regularly changing exhibitions showcasing local and visiting artists. Expressions of interest for exhibitions, sale of unique, artist made items or hire of the workspace are welcomed. The Henry Angel Trackhead is a popular camping area with good facilities including electric and gas barbecues. It is located around nine kilometres from the town of Tumbarumba on the Tooma Road. The picnic and camping area is a base for short and longer walks along the Hume and Hovell Walking Track, especially walking up and downstream exploring Burra Creek and its significant mining history. Not suitable for mountain bikes, and dogs not permitted on the track which crosses private land. Information boards are located at the trackhead. Walkers should be adequately clothed with sturdy walking boots. Maps and more information are available from the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre.

Tumbarumba is located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is surrounded by vineyards, trout streams, cattle and sheep stations. Tumbarumba sprang to life in the 1850s during the gold rush era and the town retains some of its historic buildings such as the Court House. Explorers Hume and Hovell trekked through the area on their way to Port Phillip in 1824, and you can retrace their steps on the 12 kilometres Hume and Hovell Track that follows Burra Creek, cutting through a tunnel built during the gold-mining days in the 1800s. Learn about the gold mining and pioneer days at the Tumbarumba Museum, conveniently located in the Visitor Information Centre. The museum hosts a permanent display of the Southern Cloud, the aircraft disappeared in the area in 1931 and was not found until 1958. See the stunning Paddys River Falls, located 15 kilometres from town. Visit local cellar doors for tastings at Tumbarumba's award winning cool climate wines and see the Artists on Parade Gallery. Annual events include the New Year's Day Rodeo, Tumbarumba Cup and Tumbafest - the town's festival of music, food and wine....
