Exeter Golf Club Inc is a 9-hole golf course just outside of Launceston in Tasmania's north. The course has 18 alternate tees (par 71) and a spacious club house with licensed bar. The fairways and greens are well maintained and in good condition year round. There is also a driving range to fine tune your swing. Saturday is competition day and all days are open to the public for a round. The course has its challenges with some testing hilly areas and visitors are always welcome. While you are in the area, visit the neighbouring fruit orchards and take time to venture out to Beauty Point and Beaconsfield. At Beauty Point you can visit Seahorse World and Platypus House while in Beaconsfield learn of the intriguing mining history. Also not far away is the Tamar Valley Wine Route, where you can sample some of Tasmania's finest cool-climate wines. Have lunch at one of the picturesque vineyards or take a bottle of your favourite wine down to the banks of the Tamar River and enjoy a picnic. The river is home to a range of wildlife and birdlife. Exeter is a 20-minute drive north (26 kilometres/16 miles) of Launceston.

Banjo's Run Winery and Vineyard is a multi award winning, family owned and operated vineyard where the grapes are hand picked to ensure the finest quality grapes are used to create the wines. The Southern Highlands is a premier growing area producing some of the finest wines in Australia.

All wines are available to purchase on the website, or at the Cellar Door and a small selection is available at the Southern Highlands Information Centre in Mittagong.

They welcome group bookings and can accommodate these on weekends and other specified days throughout the week as long as you book in advance. They have a very relaxed atmosphere in their vineyard and cellar door, they like to keep it casual and relaxed and they hope that you do too.

Gallery Ecosse is a contemporary art gallery situated in the Southern Highlands of NSW in the beautiful historic village of Exeter, showcasing some of the most exciting contemporary artists in Australia. The gallery exhibits a range of work by Australian contemporary artists including prominent Indigenous artists as a permanent part of the stable. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, artefacts, and limited edition works are available. The Directors of Gallery Ecosse are committed to promoting a diverse group of artists who work both in Australia and abroad. Artists shown include Adam Cullen, Maningrida Artists, Oliver Watts, Julian Meagher, Tjawina Porter Nampitjinpa, Dean Brown, and Jasper Knight among others. Gallery Ecosse holds solo exhibitions for each of its artists in the historic 'Halcyon Cottage' (circa 1869). In between shows the gallery features group exhibitions, and also shows by invited established artists. These would interest the discerning art collector.

The Tamar Visitor Centre is located in the Tamar Valley town of Exeter in northern Tasmania. As a member of the accredited Tasmanian Visitor Information Network located around the state, the Tamar Visitor Centre is open from 8.30am - 5pm seven days a week and has skilled, knowledgeable staff and volunteers who can provide expert local and statewide travel information. Our staff can also organise your bookings and reservations and give advice on what to see and do and where to eat around the Island. You can purchase your Tamar Triple Passes at the Tamar Visitor Centre (discounted entry into three of the Tamar Valley's major attractions: Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum, Seahorse World and Platypus House) and save money. The Tamar Visitor Centre also has a large range of souvenirs and gifts to suit all tastes and budgets.
